GIVING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO KIDS WHO
LOVE SKIING
ABOUT JOSH
The JRSSF was created in the spring of 2005 following the tragic death of Josh Russell. Josh loved skiing - alpine racing, Nordic racing, and ski jumping. He was an amazing skier, but an even better teammate and friend. His love of snow, fun, and friends carries on through these scholarships as a living memorial.
MISSION
This foundation’s goal is to financially assist aspiring N.H. ski racers or jumpers in their pursuit of excellence. Josh was an avid Nordic, alpine, and jumping skier and this foundation takes applications from all three categories. Ski racing is an expensive sport, but can be tremendously rewarding. The JRSSF wants to help make this possible for skiers who need financial support.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Past JRSSF scholarship recipients include local high school racers needing assistance for race entry fees,
NHARA racers needing help paying for entry into their local ski club, local alpine, Nordic and jumping athletes needing assistance in purchasing equipment, and finally, fees for Nordic and alpine summer programs for athletes feeling the need to keep up or stay ahead.
